It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terence Michael Francis (Terry) after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Terry will be deeply missed by his loving wife Merle, daughters Charlaine and Lisa, brothers Errol (Delphine) and Tom (Joan), sisters-in-law Rita (the late Arthur) and Frieda (Trevor), brothers-in-law Tyrone (Marsha) and Christopher (Amy), along with numerous relatives and friends.

Beloved son of Maggie and Ismael Francis, Terry was born in Jinga, Uganda, and completed his high school education in Kampala. During his career with Canadian Airlines, he completed the Harvard University Executive Management Program.

Terry began his professional journey with East African Airways, where he met his future wife, Merle. He later joined Trans World Airlines (TWA). In 1972, following the birth of their daughters, the family immigrated to Canada as refugees.

In Canada, Terry continued his aviation career with TransAir before moving to Calgary, where he joined Pacific Western Airlines, later known as Canadian Airlines. He rose to the role of Senior Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Cargo.

Post-retirement, Terry served as a consultant with Air Jamaica, interim President of the Canadian Tourism Commission, Director at Interglobe Technologies, Director & Board Member at Cargojet, and Chair of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).

Terry was an avid golfer, global traveller, and devoted reader of espionage novels. He will be remembered most for his infectious humour and constant positivity.
